The Gateway Conference - Promoting Participation in Medicine

Registration and Fees

The cost of the event is £35 for one day or £60 for both. Travel expenses are non-recoverable.

Students

The conference is FREE for all medical students who are accepted onto the conference. However we need to cover ourselves against last minute cancellations and therefore request that you send us a cheque for £35. Please be assured that this is purely to secure your place at the conference and will be returned to you on your arrival at the conference. The cheque will only be cashed if you do not attend the event. You are encouraged to claim travel expenses back from your Medical School or University but if this is not possible we will contribute up to £40 towards travel expenses.

What this includes

We will provide you with one night’s accommodation at Weetwood Hall on Friday night, lunch and dinner on Friday and breakfast on Saturday, plus refreshments and access to the conference throughout the two days. There will be workshops running on both days. It is possible to just attend one day of the conference, however accommodation will not be included.

How to apply

Although the deadline for registering for a place at the conference was 15th January 2008, we have received a few last minute cancellations. Therefore if you are still interested in attending the conference, please contact us as soon as possible and we may be able to offer you a place.

Please complete the registration form and submit it online. We will send you an e-mail to confirm the receipt of your form but your place will not be secured until we have received your deposit ⁄ payment.

TERMS - Please acknowledge that your place is NOT secure until we receive either a deposit (cheque that will not be cashed unless you fail to attend if you are a medical student) or payment (if you are a Widening Participation officer or otherwise in permanent employment).

Payment

There are two options to make a payment ⁄ deposit.

1 - By cheque (medical students or staff members)
